Flowers: their availability in the year

PeoniesBelow is a simple list of what is traditionally available in the seasons but please note that this is not exhaustive.

For example, alliums are typically available early summer onwards but a florist can usually get them from January to August as they are flown in from Africa. Again, the highly scented stocks are easily sourced between May and September but can be sourced by your florist and their wholesalers from Israel and Kenya in the winter. Your florist can advise. There might be a slight cost increase should the flower you require be out of season.
